Once you've chosen an item in the library catalog, you will need to note its call number and its location and status in order to find it.
Location
Location indicates exactly where the item you want can be found in the library. An item might be in a special location
such as reference or in a departmental library such as the science library or a special reading room. In the example
above, at Denison you would go to the appropriate floor of the main stacks in order to retrieve the item. A Wooster
student would need to go to the Science Library to get this book.
Status
The status column of the catalog display indicates whether or not a book is available for your use. The status
available or check shelves means the item should be in the library, while an item checked out to someone would
have a due date listed. An item with the status of non-circ or lib use only must be used in the library. In the
example above, you should expect the book to be on the shelf.
