While the bulk of the information found in statistical
sources is invariably in numerical form, the breadth of kinds of statistical
sources that exist, and subjects covered, is truly astounding. Resources
range from the Statistical Abstract of the United States, an annual publication
which summarizes important statistics collected by the U.S. government, and
African Statistical Yearbook, to more narrowly focused subject resources such
as Cuba: A Handbook of Historical Statistics, Handbook of Industrial Statistics,
and International Financial Statistics.
