Maloney, Yolanda."Bibliographic Instruction for Foreign Language Classes: A Pilot Project" in Research Strategies, Spring 1989, vol. 7, no.2, pp. 61-66. Ann Arbor, MI: Mountainside Publishing, Inc., 1989.
Pilot project at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) where the librarians conducted bibliographic instruction sessions in French for students who are majoring in French. The purpose of the project was to enhance the students' French language skills and to show how their language skills can be applied to different situations. In this case, the students' competencies in French and library research were challenged by being able to communicate with the bilingual members of the VCU library staff and to search to the database, Bibliotheque Françise, in French.
