The "Outcomes and Assessment" section of the Mellon Information Literacy Grant calls for assessing the success of the grant project in a variety of ways. Evaluation by faculty, librarians, and students involved in specific course projects is especially important.
Each librarian (or other information professional) collaborating with a faculty member who has received a curriculum development award is expected to submit a brief report to the campus committee detailing activities and providing feedback on the collaborative process. This report should be submitted upon completion of the development phase of the project. A summary of the collaborative activities is to be the basis of the report. Of particular interest to the committee:
Librarians who have had significant involvement in teaching a particular course are encouraged to submit a brief narrative report, after the course has been taught, assessing that experience as well.
See section VII. Faculty Responsibilites at http://collaborations.denison.edu/ohio5/grant/development/devguide.htm for evaluation and reporting guidelines for faculty.
